SpeakEasy Po’JaM is a bi-monthly Black & Global Majority music and spoken word open-mic night at Theatre Deli Cafe/Bar London. Black Lives Natter invites audiences and creatives to a night of music and word fusion. The night is hosted by Eljai Morais with Resident Po’JaM Artists Stephane Harivelo, Josh Olusanya and Sizterly Love and open mic guests

SpeakEasy creative writing and performance workshops for Black and Global Majority individuals are designed to guide you from conception-to-stage presentation by unlocking and unleashing your inner voice.
We encourage all writers — beginners and sages to apply for the writing workshops & our open-mic night.
Page-to-Stage Workshops & Opportunities
The taster workshops are 2–3 hour themed writing sessions taking place online and in person at Theatre Deli , facilitated by SpeakEasy Course Coordinator Eljai Morais and guest facilitator Daniella Fearon. Through writing exercises, prompts, group sharing, home-tasks, voice work, self-direction and performance, facilitators guide participants through creating spoken word and theatrical stage-ready work.
A monologue showcase open to Black and Black mixed writers as part of Black History Month. Writers submit original monologues for development and performance (deadline 31st August.) Rehearsals focus on stagecraft, direction, and presentation, culminating in a performance at Theatre Deli.

SpeakEasy Co’LaB is a monthly social and creative drop-in for Black and Global Majority spoken word artists, performers, singers-songwriters and musicians as part of SpeakEasy Saturday, which runs from the 3pm - 5pm to early evening at Theatre Deli.
The session starts with a meet and greet in the Café/Bar at the BLN Pop-Up Bookshop, where you can connect with the Co’LaB team and fellow creatives. After this, we move into a studio for a collaborative space to share projects, swap skills, connect and develop work . The session ends with Co’LaB LiVE back in the Café/Bar, giving Black and Global Majority performers a supportive space to share their work.
Co’LaB is your creative drop-in and community hub - bring your instruments, your work, your ideas, or just yourself.

SpeakEasy Co’LaB LiVE is the sister event to SpeakEasy Po’JaM, our bi-monthly Black & Global Majority music and spoken word night at Theatre Deli, London.
Co'LaB LiVE is a monthly one hour Black & Global Majority open-mic at Theatre Deli Café/Bar as part of SpeakEasy Saturdays. Twelve artists, one hour of uninterrupted creative flow. Come early to browse the
BLN Pop-Up Bookshop or grab a coffee or drink, with live performances as a warm up to your Saturday evening.
